
<p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>The provisional results from Ghana&#8217;s 2024 general elections are coming in rapidly from all 276 constituencies.</strong></p>



<p>As expected, the two main parties, the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), are locked in a tight contest at both the presidential and parliamentary levels.</p>



<p>According to early figures, the NPP and NDC are running neck and neck in key battlegrounds, with other parties trailing behind.</p>



<p> The results from certain constituencies have garnered national attention due to their potential impact on the overall national outcome.</p>



<p>Over 18 million voters were expected to cast their ballots in this election, with voting taking place at 40,648 polling stations across the country.</p>



<p>A total of 12 candidates vied for the presidency, while 801 individuals (including 118 women) contested the parliamentary elections.</p>

<li><em>Ahmadiyya Day Nursery Polling Station (Upper West-Wa Central Constituency)</em>: NPP- 91 votes, NDC- 283 votes</li>



<li><em>ODODODIODIOO-Jamestown Mantse Court</em>: Presidential &#8211; NDC- 114, NPP- 74; Parliamentary &#8211; NDC- 115, NPP- 70</li>



<li><em>Ayawaso East Provisional Results (Tahniya Islamic School Polling Station)</em>: Presidential &#8211; John Dramani Mahama (NDC)- 241, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia (NPP)- 62</li>



<li><em>Asante Akim North Constituency (GCMB Polling Centre 2)</em>: Presidential &#8211; Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia (NPP)- 175, John Dramani Mahama (NDC)- 65</li>
</ul>



<p>Sorting and counting of ballots are still ongoing in some constituencies. The Electoral Commission of Ghana is expected to release the official results in due course.</p>
