A performance by award-winning Ghanaian musician Fameye at the NDC’s 24-Hour Economy party turned chaotic when a sympathizer of the party stormed the stage.
The incident occurred while Fameye was still performing and entertaining the politicians and fans in attendance. The NDC sympathizer, who has not been named, was immediately walked off the stage by Fameye’s security team.
However, the situation took a turn for the worse when the sympathizer later attacked one of the bodyguards who had escorted him off the stage. This led to an exchange of blows between Fameye’s security team and the NDC sympathizers who had attended the show.
The altercation forced Fameye to leave the stage and intervene in the fight. The situation was eventually brought under control, but not before it had disrupted the event.
Eyewitnesses described the scene as chaotic, with people running in different directions to avoid the fight. The incident has raised concerns about the safety of performers and attendees at political events.
Fameye has not commented publicly on the incident, but sources close to him say that he is shaken by the experience.
The NDC has also not issued a statement on the incident, but party officials are said to be investigating the matter.
