A police investigation has been opened into the claim that a University of Ghana level 200 student paid an alleged fetish priest GHS800 to kill his 4-month-old autistic child.
ModernGhana.com reports that the Bono Region’s Berekum-Koraso Police have taken up the investigation and are making every effort to ascertain all the details of the occurrence.
According to rumors, the student who is the father of a child with special disabilities wanted to get rid of the youngster, so he paid a fetish priest to kill him.
The fetish priest traveled to Berekum on Monday, September 5, at around 7 p.m. to complete the task of suffocating the four-month-old autistic infant after collecting GHS800.
The father of the child, who goes by the name Dj Poli, is reportedly a University of Ghana level 200 student.
After the job was finished by the fetish priest hired from Drobo-Yamiensa, the baby’s father is claimed to have secretly buried the infant in Nsapor cemetery on Monday night.
According to an earlier account, a teenage boy from Kenya was detained by authorities in the Embu County of that nation after he allegedly killed the boyfriend of his mother who had come to visit and had tried to spend the night at his father’s home.
On the evening of Sunday, September 3, 45-year-old Peter Mwangi Njeru visited his sweetheart, 50-year-old Euphraith Wangare.
However, when he chose to spend the night at their house, a fight broke out between him and his lover’s teenage son. The young man argued that he would not be permitted to spend the night in his father’s home because his mother’s boyfriend was not his father.
Njeru insisted on staying over, which caused the dispute to turn physical, according to a People Daily story.
“When the man resisted leaving, a brawl broke out. He was attacked with firewood that was close to the house, according to the Embu County Police Command.
When Njeru’s body was retrieved from the woman’s compound, it was reportedly slashed severely.Wangare’s youngster was already put into foster care.
Already, one of Wangare’s sons has been arrested. Investigations into the incident are still ongoing.
