After approaching a market to get a market woman to read the news, UTV broadcaster Akwasi Boadi ‘Akrobeto’ has elevated his comedic act.
Akrobeto has been making Ghanaians laugh with his hilariously mangled pronunciations of English words for years. He hosts the UTV programme “Real News,” in which he reads the news in his poor English.
Several viral videos of Akrobeto reading the news in his shaky English have gone viral all over the world, especially during the pandemic. The show has even gone global at times.
In a surprising turn of events, Akrobeto has now chosen to recruit market women to his reporting crew.
Invading a market, the UTV host picked out a few market women to read the news to the crowd.
Naturally, this had the same funny effects as when Akrobeto reads the news.
Social media users responded to the video by praising Akrobeto and asserting that he performs significantly better than the market women.
One internet user stated, “My father who noses tomorrow is better than this woman,”
“Oh Awurade Jesus Christ grant me this confident some,” said another.
