Ghanaian dancehall artist Shatta Wale has made a bold call to action, urging Ghanaians to apologize to former President John Dramani Mahama amid the ongoing protests against the Akufo-Addo government.
In a video circulating on social media, Shatta Wale criticized Ghanaians for complaining about the current economic hardships, emphasizing that Mahama was treated unfairly during his tenure and deserves an apology.
He believes Ghanaians didn’t give Mahama a chance to fulfill his potential, instead opting for Akufo-Addo. Now, faced with the challenges of the current administration, Shatta Wale thinks it’s time for Ghanaians to apologize to Mahama for not supporting him during his presidency. “You knew who Mahama was, but you didn’t give him the chance to do his work.
You said you wanted Akufo-Addo, and we all accepted it. Now you’re complaining because of the challenges you’re facing. Go and apologize to Mahama. Every one of you should go and beg him,” he said.

Shatta Wale’s comments come as Ghanaians protest against the government’s handling of the galamsey crisis.
He has been vocal about his support for Mahama, even stating that Ghanaians benefited more under his leadership.
Notably, this isn’t Shatta Wale’s first apology to Mahama; he previously apologized for using unsavory comments against the former president.
