Girl, 16, Sets Fire to Boyfriend's Room Over Rage, Arrested By Police

Rebecca Nyomi, a 16-year-old girl, has been arrested for setting her boyfriend’s room on fire in a fit of rage.

According to the police report, Nyomi had visited her boyfriend, Samuel Agbobli, at his cornmeal shop to demand money, but he ended their relationship, accusing her of infidelity.

Despite her pleas for forgiveness, Agbobli forcibly removed her from the shop, leaving Nyomi distraught.

She then used a spare key to gain entry to Agbobli’s room and set it on fire, locking the doors and windows before leaving the scene. The incident occurred in New Nkusukum, a suburb of Mankessim.

Nyomi was later apprehended by the police and charged with arson.

The motive behind the act is believed to be a revenge attack following the end of their relationship.

The police are investigating the incident and Nyomi is currently in custody.
