Gospel Singer Diana Antwi Hamilton Enstooled As Development Queen In Oti Region

Renowned gospel singer Diana Antwi Hamilton has been honored with a traditional title in the Kadjebi District of the Oti Region.

On Wednesday, January 29, 2024, she was enstooled as the Nkosuohemaa of Dodo Tamale, a title that translates to “Development Queen.”

The enstoolment ceremony, which took place in a church auditorium, was attended by a large gathering of people. Diana Hamilton was adorned in traditional attire, including green kente cloth and beads around her neck and wrist.

According to the master of ceremonies, Diana Hamilton’s stool name is Nana Adwoa Amponsah I. The enstoolment was a recognition of her contributions to the development of the Dodo Tamale community, particularly through her Diana Hamilton Foundation.

One of the key projects undertaken by the foundation is the construction of a five-unit classroom block for the community. The school block was commissioned on the same day as Diana Hamilton’s enstoolment.

In a symbolic gesture, Diana Hamilton, still clad in her traditional outfit, cut the sod with the chiefs and people of the community to officially open the school.
