Govt Offered Money Bribe To Stop The #OccupyJulorbiHouse Protest – Oliver Barker-Vormawor

Oliver Barker-Vormawor, the main figure being the recent picketing at the Jubilee house dubbed #OccupyJulorbiHouse Protest has revealed that at one point the government of Ghana tried to bribe him to halt demonstrations in the country to address the hardship and bad governance in the country.

He revealed in an interview with TV3 at the grounds of the picketing how the National Security Minister had asked for a met-up, offering to pay for his flight from the UK to Ghana for it.

“When I was in the UK, the National Security Minister called and invited me to come into the country for a sit-up… the government offered to pay for my flight in order to meet here in Ghana… we met at a safe house and the demand was for us to stop these activities”

He further revealed that he and his team were offered money and an appointment If they agreed to stop the picketing.

“We were offered… not just money but appointments that if we agree…”

Upon rejection, he revealed that Kan Dapaah, the National Security Minister on counter revealed that they would be arrested and dealt with if they decided to go ahead with it.
