Ghanaian songstress Sefa has spoken out about the disturbing experiences of female musicians at events, highlighting the harassment and unwanted touching they often face.
In an interview with Nana Romeo on Accra-based Accra FM, Sefa shared a personal encounter that left her shaken. After finishing a performance, she allowed fans to approach her, acknowledging their support. However, she quickly regretted the decision.
“To my surprise, I felt numerous hands on me,” Sefa revealed. “Some fans were touching my breasts, while others attempted to touch my private parts.”
Sefa’s account underscores the alarming reality of harassment and assault faced by female musicians in Ghana’s entertainment industry.
Her bravery in sharing this experience aims to spark a necessary conversation about fan behavior, personal boundaries, and the safety of female performers.
This disturbing trend raises questions about event security, artist protection, and the need for greater awareness and respect for performers’ rights.
