I Am Going To Rebuild Kantamanto Market And Install Ultra-Modern CCTV Cameras — Bawumia Promises

Outgoing Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has pledged to improve the lives of victims affected by the Kantakanto fire outbreak.

This commitment comes after Dr. Bawumia paid a courtesy call to the victims, demonstrating his solidarity with those impacted by the disaster.

Speaking to the victims, Dr. Bawumia expressed his deep empathy, stating that the tragic incident had not only affected the victims but also had a profound impact on him personally.

Despite other high-ranking officials of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) having visited the scene, Dr. Bawumia felt compelled to witness the devastation firsthand.

Dr. Bawumia assured the victims that, despite his impending departure from office, he would exert every effort to rebuild the market.

Furthermore, he promised to leverage his expertise in digital technology to install CCTV cameras at the market, aimed at promoting transparency and accountability.

This is not Dr. Bawumia’s first demonstration of support for victims of fire disasters. Earlier this year, he donated GHc 200,000 to victims of the Madina fire outbreak, in addition to pledging financial support through the Ghana Enterprises Agency’s Women’s Empowerment Programme.

The Kantakanto fire outbreak has left numerous traders and business owners in a state of uncertainty.
