Head of Marlian Records and Nigerian artist Azeez Fashola, also known by his stage name Naira Marley, has denied accusations that he was responsible for the death of Mohbad, a previous signee.

When the late singer departed Marlians Records after Mohbad’s passing, several online users accused Naira Marley of pushing his friend Sam Larry and others to threaten and insult the man.

When older tapes of Sam Larry bullying and torturing Mohbad repeatedly before his death surfaced, the outrage increased.

Naira Marley and Sam Larry received a deluge of criticism on social media from incensed Nigerians as a result of the videos. Naira Marley is alleged to have tormented the late musician as well.

Mohbad was buried in Ikorodu, Lagos, the day after he passed away on September 12th. Discussions and conspiracies have continued since the singer’s passing.

On Tuesday, the Marlian leader addressed the allegations by publishing a formal statement to his Instagram account. Following the demise of Mohbad, this is Naira Marley’s second formal proclamation.

Naira Marley made it clearly clear that neither he nor Mohbad ever requested that anyone bother or bully them.

Naira Marley continued by expressing his deepest sympathies to the relatives of the deceased and reiterating his determination to proving his innocence and cooperating with the authorities to produce sufficient evidence to clear his name.

Rumours that the British-Nigerian musician runs a drug mafia through his Marlian Records business were denied.

Since Mohbad’s death was reported, Naira Marley has been the focus of intense scrutiny. In a heartfelt statement that was made public, the artist vehemently denied any involvement in the sad incident, whether direct or indirect.

He went on to suggest that unnamed individuals were attempting to harm his reputation and suggested that it’s possible Mohbad’s passing was an elaborate plot to frame him.
