
<p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>Ghanaian media figure Captain Smart has made bold accusations, claiming that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) attempted to buy his silence with offers of a ministerial role, a luxury car, and a CEO position.</strong></p>



<p> According to Captain Smart, these incentives were aimed at stopping him from exposing the government&#8217;s alleged ties to galamsey, the illegal mining practice that has been a significant issue in Ghana.</p>



<p>Speaking on his Onua Maakye show, Captain Smart stated that he turned down the offers, asserting that he refuses to be a &#8220;nation wrecker.&#8221; </p>



<p>Known for his outspoken nature and willingness to critique those in power, Captain Smart’s refusal comes as no surprise to those familiar with his track record in Ghanaian journalism.</p>

<p>This isn’t the first time Captain Smart has leveled serious accusations against the NPP. Previously, he accused the government of selling the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) to the Chinese, which he argued has led to rising electricity costs.</p>



<p> With his latest revelations, Captain Smart continues to position himself as a vocal critic of the NPP&#8217;s governance.</p>



<p>The NPP, one of Ghana&#8217;s leading political parties since its founding in 1992, is known for its center-right, liberal-conservative stance. </p>
