I Nearly Took My Life Because Of The Trauma NPP Were Putting Me Through — Nigel Gaisie

Prophet Nigel Gaisie, founder of Prophetic Hill Chapel, has shared a heart-wrenching account of the emotional toll he endured after prophesying that John Mahama would return as President of Ghana.

In a candid interview with Kwame Tanko on Lawson TV/Radio’s Ghana Se Sen Show, Prophet Gaisie revealed the devastating consequences he faced during the Akufo-Addo administration.

The prophet recounted how the constant harassment and rejection by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) pushed him to the brink of suicide. “I never had it easy,” he said, reflecting on the suffering he endured. “As a young man, dedicated to my faith, they tore me down. I lost my home, and even two judges who attended my church were pressured to stop.”

Prophet Gaisie criticized the past NPP government for the pain and suffering they inflicted on him and his church. “Never should such people hold positions in Ghana’s political offices again,” he emphasized. The prophet is now calling for an apology from the NPP for the emotional distress they caused him over the last eight years.

“We are human beings with families, not perfect, but we don’t deserve to be vilified or have our work destroyed,” Prophet Gaisie continued. “The NPP shattered lives and crushed spirits. We are human beings with families, wives, and friends. We aren’t perfect, but when someone makes a mistake, they should face the law—not be vilified or have their work destroyed.”

Prophet Gaisie also urged John Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) not to attack the church, emphasizing that any accusations should be addressed through proper legal channels. This caution comes after Prophet Gaisie’s own experiences with harassment and vilification.

In a previous interview, Prophet Gaisie had expressed his dissatisfaction with the NPP’s governance, stating that he was praying for their defeat in the 2024 elections.

He had also acknowledged that, as a prophet, he is not infallible and sometimes gets his prophecies wrong.
