If Mahama Wins The General Elections In 2024, Attorney Maurice Ampaw Promises To Go To Togo (Details)

Renowned Ghanaian If former President John Dramani Mahama wins the 2024 elections, private attorney Maurice Ampaw has pledged to depart Ghana.

He claimed that he would not submit to Mahama’s rule once more after witnessing what the National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential contender for the 2024 elections could do while serving as president from 2012 to 2016.

Lawyer Ampaw said that he would rather live in the neighboring country of Togo than allow himself to be ruled by Mahama once more in an interview with Kumasi-based Angel FM on September 10, 2023.

“I would go to Togo if Mahama tried to govern over me a second time. Make a note of what I’m saying on the wall. I would depart the nation.

“… if Mahama wins, I’ll move to Togo and spend four years there. What is Mahama returning to the administration to accomplish? He questioned in Twi.

Ampaw stated that he does not want Mahama to run for president once again because he can only hold the position for four years, and Mahama has already stated that this time period is insufficient to transform the nation.

He asserted that Mahama will exploit his second coming to extort money from the government to pay off his enormous debts accumulated from his political campaigns since 2016.

“Mahama himself stated that four years are insufficient to make a positive impact on the nation. What is he here to accomplish? He is aware that it will take longer than four years to fix the issues facing Ghana at the moment.

He also owes a lot of money. He still hasn’t given back the funds he used for the 2016 and 2020 elections, according to the attorney.
