Online Erupts As Nigerian Couple Give Birth To A White Baby In London

After a Nigerian couple, Angela Ihegboro and her husband Ben Ihegboro, gave birth to a white baby and christened her Nmachi, the internet exploded into a frenzy.

Two black parents who were immigrants from Nigeria gave birth to Baby Nmachi, a white infant with blonde hair and blue eyes, in a hospital in London.

Despite not believing in miracles, geneticists struggled to explain the situation of infant Nmachi.

Instead, they offered three theories. Some say the baby is the result of a particular gene mutation. If such were the case, Nmachi’s descendants, who would almost definitely also be white, would inherit the gene.

Online sources came to the conclusion that the child is the product of her parents’ long-dormant white DNA, which may have been passed down through their ancestors for many generations before manifesting at this time.

The experts underlined that Nmachi is not a true albino or lacking in complete pigment, but that her skin could potentially deepen, and that the newborn may have some type of modified form of the inherited condition.
