I'll Donate 50% Of My First year Salary - John Dumelo

Aspiring Member of Parliament and actor, John Dumelo has promised to donate 50% of his first year’s salary to his constituency when elected into office as the MP for Ayawaso West constituency.

John Dumelo made this revelation in a Twitter post he made on November 12, 2019. He wrote:

“That’s not a problem at all. That’s a very good suggestion. Here’s what I will do. I will donate 50% of my first-year salary and bonuses as MP to the youth In Ayawaso West as development aid. I mean it.”

Some Ghanaian felt he will change immediately he is elected into power. Most took to Twitter to query John Dumelo over his new obsession. One fan wrote: “John Dumelo you’re doing all these, what shows if you get the power you continue to do this?”

John Dumelo immediately reposted the fan’s query and answered in a post saying: If “I don’t continue, who will vote after the next 4 years?….politics is service to the nation.”

John Dumelo is aspiring to be elected into office as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ayawaso West constituency.
