Popular Ghanaian actress turned media personality, Nana Ama McBrown, has announced that she is done with calling herself “Empress McBrown.”
This decision comes amidst a long-standing feud with Gospel singer Gifty Osei, also known as Empress Gifty, over the origin of the name.
The two celebrities have been at odds over who started using the “Empress” title first. Gifty Osei has consistently claimed that she has been using the name for years before McBrown started using it.
On the other hand, McBrown’s fans insist that she is the one who popularized the term.
The feud between the two escalated recently when Empress Gifty canceled an appearance on McBrown’s Onua Showtime at the last minute. However, it appears that McBrown has decided to take the high road and move on from the “Empress” title.
In a recent announcement, McBrown proposed a new name that she would like everyone to call her by, marking a new chapter in her career.
While she did not disclose the new name, fans are eagerly awaiting the revelation.
