Chairman Wontumi has fired back at Reverend Owusu Bempah, dismissing claims that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) was behind his arrest.
Wontumi insists that the police administration, not the NPP, was responsible for the pastor’s arrest, and that even Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, had no direct involvement.
Wontumi’s response was passionate, with him stating, “NPP is like blood to me, and I would never do anything to harm its reputation.” This statement underscores his commitment to the party and his desire to clear its name.

It appears that Reverend Owusu Bempah’s allegations sparked controversy, and Wontumi’s swift denial aims to set the record straight.
