US Army Major Kojo Owusu Dartey, aged 42, has been found guilty by a federal jury for his role in smuggling firearms to Ghana concealed within blue barrels disguised as rice and household goods.

Dartey, stationed at Fort Liberty, now faces a maximum sentence of 240 months in prison, with his sentencing scheduled for July 2024.
