Prophet Kumchacha, founder and leader of Heavens Gate Ministries, has revealed that he has received death threats six times due to his outspoken criticism of President Nana Akufo-Addo’s government.
In a recent interview on Kingdom FM, Kumchacha explained that his public comments on the poor handling of the economy have made him a target.
Kumchacha’s criticism of the government is not new. In the past, he has publicly expressed his dissatisfaction with the government’s economic policies, even going as far as to apologize to former President John Mahama for his past criticisms of Mahama’s administration.
However, Kumchacha’s latest comments have clearly struck a nerve. He revealed that the threats have forced him to take drastic measures to stay safe. “I have spent nights at radio stations because of numerous threats directed at me over my criticism of Nana Addo,” he stated.
Kumchacha also shared that some individuals had gone as far as tracing him to his residence, prompting him to constantly switch locations. “I have filed six threat complaints at the Central Police Headquarters. On some occasions, I’ve had to sleep at different places to avoid being caught off guard,” he added.
