Prophet Kumchacha, a self-acclaimed PRO for all men and women of God in contemporary Ghanaian society, has lashed out at former Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan over his comments on the Kantamanto fire outbreak.
In a self-recorded video, Kumchacha expressed his disappointment and surprise at Gyan’s reaction, describing it as “foolish.”
According to Kumchacha, he least expected such a comment from the former Black Stars captain, especially given his stature and wealth.
Kumchacha noted that if Gyan wanted to contribute to the discussion, he should not have attacked the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Kumchacha’s criticism of Gyan comes after the former footballer allegedly blamed the NDC for the Kantamanto fire outbreak.
Kumchacha joins a growing list of individuals who have condemned Gyan’s comments, accusing him of being senseless and myopic.
This is not the first time Kumchacha has been involved in a public controversy. In September 2024, he made headlines when he claimed that Asamoah Gyan deliberately missed a penalty during the 2010 World Cup because the NDC was in power.
Kumchacha alleged that Asamoah Gyan’s support for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) influenced his decision to miss the penalty.
