Since Mahama’s Re-election, We’ve Started Experiencing Crazy Dumsor Again — Kumasi Resident

A resident of Kumasi has expressed his concerns about the recent power outages, blaming them on the re-election of President John Mahama.

The resident, who wishes to remain anonymous, believes that Mahama’s return to office will usher in a new era of “dumsor,” a term coined to describe the persistent power outages that plagued the country during Mahama’s previous tenure.

In anticipation of the worst, the resident has decided to take matters into his own hands. “I’m going to stockpile candles and take out a loan to purchase a generator,” he said. “We all know what happened during Mahama’s first term, and I don’t want to be caught off guard.”

The resident’s concerns are not entirely unfounded. During Mahama’s previous term, the country experienced severe power outages, which had a devastating impact on businesses and households.

The outages were blamed on a combination of factors, including a shortage of generating capacity, transmission losses, and distribution challenges.
