In a move aimed at strengthening his administration’s education sector, President John Dramani Mahama has nominated Haruna Iddrisu, a seasoned politician and former Minority Leader in Parliament, as the Education Minister-designate.
Haruna Iddrisu, the Member of Parliament for Tamale South, is expected to bring his wealth of experience to the Education Ministry, leveraging his expertise to drive reforms and improvements in the sector.

Meanwhile, Governor Kwame Agbodza has been nominated to head the Roads and Highways Ministry, a move seen as a strategic effort to enhance the country’s infrastructure development.
Haruna Iddrisu’s appointment is part of President Mahama’s broader efforts to assemble a strong team to drive his administration’s agenda.
Other notable appointments include Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson as Minister for Finance-designate, John Abdulai Jinapor as Minister for Energy-designate, and Dominic Akuritinga Ayine as Attorney-General and Minister for Justice-designate.
