President John Mahama has nominated 10 candidates for regional ministerial positions as part of his new administration’s strategic governance rollout.
Among the nominees are Ali Adolf John for the Northern Region, John Kwadwo Gyapong for the Oti Region, James Gunu for the Volta Region, and Mrs. Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey for the Eastern Region.
These appointments signal Mahama’s focus on improving regional governance and addressing development challenges nationwide.

The list has been submitted to Parliament’s Appointments Committee for vetting and approval, marking a pivotal step in establishing effective leadership teams for the regions.
The nominated Regional Ministers include:
- Northern – Ali Adolf John

- North-East – Ibrahim Tia
- Ashanti – Dr. Frank Amoakohene
