In a bid to tackle corruption head-on, President-elect John Dramani Mahama has constituted a 5-member team to spearhead his campaign against corruption.
The team, comprising Hon Okudzato Ablakwa, COP Kofi Boakye, Lawyer Martin Kpebu, Mr Daniel Domelovo, and Raymond Archer, an investigative journalist, will gather evidence on government appointees who have misused or stolen public funds.
The team’s primary objective is to investigate and prosecute individuals responsible for causing financial loss to the state.
Mahama’s administration has promised to take a zero-tolerance stance on corruption, and this team is expected to play a crucial role in achieving this goal.
In addition to investigating government officials, the team will also rely on information from the public.
Members of the public who have evidence of suspected corruption are encouraged to come forward and share their information with the team. This collaborative approach is expected to help root out corruption and ensure that those responsible are held accountable.
Mahama’s commitment to fighting corruption is not new. During his campaign, he repeatedly emphasized the need to tackle corruption and promote transparency in government.
