Man Arrested After He sells A Car & Steals It From New Owner 2 Weeks Later

&NewLine;<p class&equals;"has-medium-font-size">A man has been arrested by the police for selling a saloon car to a new owner and then going back to steal it from him 2 weeks later&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>33-year-old Chido Abel Chifeku&comma; from Dingimuzi Suburb&comma; was recently arrested for allegedly stealing a car he had sold to a high school teacher&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<figure class&equals;"wp-block-image size-full"><img src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;cdn&period;occupygh&period;com&sol;file&sol;occupygh&sol;2021&sol;11&sol;Ogjm5GkO-car-edited&period;jpeg" alt&equals;"" class&equals;"wp-image-130288"&sol;><&sol;figure>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>Chifeku was charged with theft as defined in Section 113 of the Criminal Law &lpar;Codification and Reform&rpar; Act Chapter 9&colon;23 when he appeared before a magistrate&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>A local tabloid reports that Chikefu was not asked to plead when he appeared in court&period; He was remanded out of custody to 30 November&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>It is in the State’s case that on 15 October 2021&comma; Chifeku sold his motor vehicle&comma; a Toyota Raum to Irvine Muzenda who happens to be a teacher at Imvimila High School<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>Chifeku reportedly sold his car for US&dollar;1 100 through his friend Yeukai Jimu&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>The court heard that the two parties agreed that Muzenda would pay US&dollar;600 to Chifeku and pay the remaining balance of US&dollar;500 by 31 December 2021&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>After coming to an agreement&comma; Chifeku is said to have handed over the car &lpar;which had no tyres at the time&rpar;&comma; its original registration papers and one key to Muzenda&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>Since the car was in bad shape&comma; Muzenda reportedly serviced it and parked it at his car wash&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>However&comma; on the 29th of October 2021&comma; Chikefu allegedly went to the car wash and stole the car using a duplicate key&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>It is further alleged that after stealing the car&comma; Chikefu went on and sold it to another teacher&comma; Muzi Dube of Kwite Primary school&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>The matter was reported to the police leading to Chifeku’s arrest&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>Source<&sol;strong>&colon; <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;OccupyGh&period;com">OccupyGh&period;com<&sol;a> <&sol;p><p class&equals;"has-text-align-center has-large-font-size"><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;chat&period;whatsapp&period;com&sol;JVGCtXdCoiKHCI3CXwMC5l" target&equals;"&lowbar;blank" rel&equals;"noreferrer noopener">Tap To Join Our<&sol;a> WhatsApp Community<&sol;p> &NewLine;
