A Nigerian man, Timothy Shikaan, has been arrested for repeatedly assaulting his wife and leaving her with bruised marks and a bleeding eye in Delta state.
The 34-year-old man, who is from Benue State but resides at Temple Clinic, Asaba, Delta State, is accused of constantly beating up his wife, Mrs Shikaan, in their home.
Concerned neighbors intervened and reported him to the human rights activist, Harrison Gwamnishu, who is the DG of Behind Bars Human Rights Foundation.
Following the tipoff, he paid a visit to the husband and found the woman with bruises on her back and arms and she was bleeding from her eyes.
A video making rounds on social media show the moment the man was accosted and escorted out of his compound. He has reportedly been handed over to A Divisional Police Station, Asaba, and is currently in detention.
