Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta Platforms is looking at plans to launch a new social media app in its effort to compete with Twitter.
Meta Platforms Inc spokesperson Andy Stone made the revelation in an emailed statement with Reuters:
“We’re exploring a standalone decentralized social network for sharing text updates. We believe there’s an opportunity for a separate space where creators and public figures can share timely updates about their interests,”.
The new app will be a decentralized social app.
