Ghanaian musician and social activist, Wanlov, has shared his thoughts on his daughter’s infatuation with another girl, stating that he sees nothing wrong with it and fully supports her right to love whom she wants, regardless of gender.
In a recent interview with GhanaWeb’s Doreen Abanema Abayaa on the Talkertainment show, Wanlov discussed a range of issues, including his experiences and beliefs regarding the LGBTQ+ community.
During the conversation, Wanlov revealed that his daughter’s mother had informed him of her daughter’s infatuation with another girl, and he expressed his complete acceptance of the situation.
He stated, “I have a daughter who is currently infatuated with another girl. I don’t see anything wrong with that. She likes this girl, and that’s what her mother told me. She is eleven.”
Wanlov’s views on his daughter’s situation are reflective of his broader beliefs regarding the LGBTQ+ community.
He noted that the term “queer” is often used as an umbrella term to encompass all individuals who identify as LGBTQ+, including those who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and more.
