After discovering that her spouse had started cheating on her, a Nigerian woman turned to social media to vent her marital suffering.
Because she is a graduate and wants to dominate him, she wrote in a Facebook post that she is considering divorcing her spouse after he claimed he never planned to marry her.
Gloria claims that her husband, who has a high school diploma, was formerly a wonderful husband until abruptly began to change.
She wrote:
We have been married for five years, and we have two children. I have a degree and a job; my husband has hand work, but that’s not a problem for me because I love him. We had a wonderful start to our relationship and many good plans for the future, but all of a sudden I noticed that my husband is starting to cheat on me.
He used to apologize, but recently he began complaining that I wasn’t the woman he wanted to settle down with. He said that I was too educated and wanted to rule him because I had a doctorate degree.
When I went to report him to his sister one day, that’s when I learned that she had been the one instilling the idea of cheating in him, that Igbo people are too wise, and that this one is now a graduate, better look for your level. I was confused and wondering what I do that makes him feel like I am controlling him, but I couldn’t figure out anything.
My husband and I had an argument three weeks ago, and after I greeted him the next morning, he told me to stop. Since then, we haven’t spoken, and we just coexist as housemates. The fact that he cheats no longer bothers me because I work, and I also pay the kids’ school expenses.
