<p>Nana Kwame Ampadu popular known as <a href="https://occupygh.com/tag/nana-ampadu">Nana Ampadu</a> was born on 31st March 1945.</p>

<p>That makes him 76 years old in September 2021.</p>



<p>He was a Ghanaian musician with a career of over 800 accreditation of numerous popular highlife tracks in the country and around the globe.</p>



<p>Nana Ampadu was born at Adiemmra on the Afram Plains in the Eastern Region of Ghana on 31 March 1945.</p>



<p>At a point in his musical career, he was heavily involved in electoral politics. </p>



<p>His song, Ebi Te Yie (or &#8220;Some Are Well Seated&#8221;) was critical of the then governing National Liberation Council in 1967.</p>



<p>He once composed a song for Jerry Rawlings&#8217;s National Democratic Congress party to use in the 1992 election campaign.</p>



<p>Ampadu also released a song critical of an attempt to disqualify Rawlings from the 1992 election based on him being half-Scottish.</p>



<p>Unfortunately, he <a href="https://occupygh.com/breaking-highlife-musician-nana-ampadu-is-dead">passed today on 28th September 2021</a>.</p>
