Netizens have gone berserk over a job advertisement for a cook in a popular restaurant in Osu, that is offering ¢300 ($46) as salary.
The advertisement was shared by a media employment agency @VacanciesGh on Twitter.
It read:
“#vacancy for Cook
Must live in Osu
Salary – Ghs 300
Work from 2pm – 9pm
Mon – Sat
Call XXXXXXX if interested”
This had sparked up a conversation online as netizens believe the amount being paid for a cook of any nature is a menial salary.
