In new development available to occupygh.com, the Niger Republic’s new military government has taken the decision to reopen the country’s land borders and airspace.
This move comes just one week after the removal of President Mohamed Bazoum.
However, it’s worth noting that the borders have been reopened exclusively to five neighboring countries, namely Mali, Burkina Faso, Algeria, Libya, and Chad.
As part of their administrative changes, the military junta has also appointed new governors to oversee the eight regions of the country.
This decision reflects a strategic step by the new leadership in re-establishing diplomatic and trade ties with specific nations in the region.
