Some Nigerians have shared images and videos capturing the solar eclipse that occurred in their regions.
A total solar eclipse occurs when the moon passes between the sun and the earth, momentarily blocking the sun’s brightness.
Images posted online by residents of Oyo and Kano states purportedly depict their observations during the brief eclipse.
While the eclipse was predominantly visible in the Pacific region, including Mexico, Canada, and over ten US states, some Nigerians reported experiencing it to some degree.
One Twitter user, Sky Girl, shared a video claiming to have witnessed the partial eclipse, urging others to look up and witness the phenomenon.
