
<p class="has-drop-cap">Following the recent ban of motorcycles and tricycles in some parts of Lagos by the State Government, riders have stormed the streets to protest the proscription/ban.</p>



<p>According to local reports, the protest turned violent clash between the parties (police and riders) as police reportedly tried to stop the protest which was to hold in Ijora.</p>



<p>Inside a video uploaded by a Twitter user which was obtained, sounds of gunshots can be heard while the user captioned the video that police are exchanging gunshots with Okada and Napep riders.</p>



<p>As at the time of writing this report, the protesters have blocked the road to show their grievances while the police officers can be seen making efforts to stop them.</p>
