Popular broadcaster Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah has finally broken his silence on his sudden resignation from Angel Broadcasting Network (ABN) as the morning show host on Angel FM Accra.
Rumors had been circulating for weeks about his alleged sack from the station, but Okatakyie has set the record straight.
In a statement posted on his social media page, Okatakyie revealed that he had indeed resigned from his position as morning show host, citing his refusal to conform to the expectations of the station and its managers.
According to him, he was unwilling to compromise his identity and values to suit the demands of his former employers.
Okatakyie’s resignation has sparked widespread speculation, with many netizens linking it to his alleged feud with Prophet Ebenezer Adarkwa Yiadom, popularly known as Prophet One.
However, Okatakyie has maintained that his decision to leave was solely due to his desire to remain true to himself.
In a defiant post, Okatakyie declared, “WE REFUSE TO BE WHAT THEY WANT US TO BE…We are Who we are and that’s the way, it’s going to be.” The statement has been met with mixed reactions, with some fans praising his courage and others expressing disappointment over his departure from the station.
Okatakyie’s next move remains uncertain, but he has promised to communicate his future plans to his followers soon.
