Dozens of houses were destroyed and hundreds of residents were displaced after serious flooding swept through the city of Bandeirantes in the north of the state of Paraná, Brazil.
Brazil was hit with flooding in torrential rainfall after a Carnival mocking God. Flooding swept through the city of Bandeirantes state of Paraná The municipal government noted over 150 mm of rain in a short period.
The quantity and intensity of the rain resulted in rivers breaking their banks, flooding wide areas of Bandeirantes
This incident occurs after the people of Bandeirantes held a festival to mock God.
“We still haven’t been able to assess the damage, since we have several damaged bridges which we need to rebuild, and people are isolated,” Jaelson Matta, mayor of Bandeirantes said.
