The Aboakyer festival is known as a Bushbuck hunting festival which is celebrated by the people of Winneba in the Central Region of Ghana.
The name Aboakyer means “hunting for game or animal” in the Fante language as spoken by the people of the Central Region.
However, during this year’s Aboakyir celebration, a Fetish Priestess who was interviewed briefly revealed that her phone has been stolen at the festival.
She used the platform to warn whoever stole the phone to bring it else she will deal with the person mercilessly.
Not only did the person steal her phone, but her purse contained some amount of cash.
She warned the person to return them or else experience death. She is a Fetish Priestess and is believed to have spiritual powers.
