A sudden and unexpected turn of events unfolded in Parliament today as President Nana Akufo-Addo’s final State of the Nation Address was temporarily halted.
The President’s aide-de-camp, an army general, collapsed behind him, causing a brief panic.
The incident occurred midway through the President’s presentation, forcing a brief suspension of proceedings.
The aide-de-camp had been standing still behind the President for hours before suddenly falling to the ground.
Fortunately, medical personnel were quickly summoned to attend to the aide-de-camp, and the situation was brought under control.
The President’s address resumed shortly thereafter, with President Akufo-Addo completing his final State of the Nation Address.
