Primeboy, a boyhood friend of the late Nigerian artist Mohbad, voluntarily surrendered to police a few hours after being listed as a person of interest in the singer’s death.
Remember that Primeboy, actual name Owodunni Ibrahim, made news on Wednesday, October 4, after he was listed as sought and had a N1 million reward placed on him.
He was asked by the authorities to help with their ongoing investigation into the events leading up to the singer’s death, but he did not accept their request. As a result, they took this step.
Primeboy just turned himself in to the police, according to a recent update. On Thursday, October 5, he was seen approaching the police headquarters in Lagos with his attorney.
Ben Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, confirmed the news and said that he had been detained for questioning.
He noted:
“Primeboy, also known as Owodunni Ibrahim Oluwatosin, has surrendered after being listed as wanted. He was immediately taken into custody for questioning and other required procedures.
Family, friends, Mohbad followers, and the general public are once again assured by the Lagos State Police Command that every effort will be made to conduct a thorough investigation.
The Command further guarantees that everyone discovered to be responsible for Mr. Ilerioluwa Aloba alias Mohbad’s death would be brought to justice.
