Prophet Odumeje, also known as Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, has denied rumors circulating that he had announced his impending death.
Last week, the prophet caused a stir when he disclosed during a Sunday worship session in Onitsha, Anambra State, that his time on earth was limited and that he had instructed his son David to take care of his family after his passing.
However, one of his subordinates, Amaka Okoye, has now come out to refute the claims, stating that the prophet never made any such statement during the Church service.
She further went on to suggest that the video may have been doctored and posted on social media to tarnish Odumeje’s reputation.
Okoye’s comments have put a dampener on the earlier reports, which had sent shockwaves through the prophet’s congregation and social media platforms.
Many had expressed their disbelief and shock at the announcement, with some even going as far as to pray for the prophet’s health and well-being.
Prophet Odumeje is a popular Nigerian preacher, who has gained notoriety for his flamboyant preaching style and extravagant lifestyle. He is known to his followers as the ‘Indaboski’ and has built up a large following across the country.
His denial of the reports will come as a relief to many of his supporters who had been left worried by the earlier announcement.
