Prophet Kofi Oduro, a controversial Ghanaian preacher, has blamed President Nana Akufo-Addo for the country’s current economic problems.
The founder of Alabaster International Ministries predicted that President Akufo-Addo would be remembered as the Fourth Republic’s worst leader on Sunday, September 3, at a church service.
Prophet Kofi Oduro expressed his concerns, noting that since President Akufo-Addo took office on January 7, 2017, Ghana has faced challenges. He made it apparent that the President could not address the country’s economic issues on his own and that only divine intervention would be required to do it.
“I want to inform my president that this issue is beyond the scope of your knowledge. Your Excellency, you will be remembered as the Fourth Republic’s worst president from now until December 7 in history. There have been six and a half years of suffering, six and a half years of blood loss. He said with much enthusiasm, “We need help.
Ghana has been experiencing a serious economic crisis since 2022, which the government has blamed on the COVID-19 pandemic and the conflict in the Ukraine and Russia. Due to the situation, the month of January 2023 experienced a record-high year-over-year inflation rate of 54.1%, with food inflation rocketing to 59.7% and transportation costs reaching 71.4%. As a condition of accepting the $3 billion IMF rescue program, the government launched a domestic debt swap program.

As Ghana battles with these issues, the viewpoints of all parties, including religious figures like Prophet Kofi Oduro, are still crucial in the ongoing discussion regarding the country’s economic destiny.
Ask God to keep Ghana peacefully together and for it to prosper for progress and prosperity. President Akufo-Addo told the congregation in Kyebi, “I continue to abide in faith in the Almighty God to assist progress the fortunes of our country, followed by right policies, determination, and hard work on our part.
