According to reports, a young man in Benin City, Edo State (Nigeria), fatally stabbed his lover. Victor Ifakachukwu, the suspect, was detained and sent to the hospital after sustaining serious wounds in what appeared to be a fatal knife attack at his residence.
At 10 Osahon Street, Ogheghe Quarters, off Sapele Road in Benin City, the incident took place.
When the fighting started, the couple is alleged to have barricaded themselves inside the home.
On Monday, August 21, 2023, at 4 p.m., it was learned that his landlord, Mr. Emmanuel Momoh, reported the event to the police.
Two blood-stained knives, a laptop, two iPhones, and a Nokia phone were all found by the police inside the apartment.
The suspect is being intensively watched at an unnamed hospital in the hopes that he will confess to the crime once he awakens.
