The unfortunate news that Ghanaian lawyer Anthony Akoto Ampaw passed away has just surfaced.
There are rumours that Lawyer Akoto Ampaw, a well-known attorney, passed away at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) earlier today, Friday, October 20, 2023.
According to the information at hand, the astute attorney’s health has declined since the start of 2023.
After the President signed the Office of the Special Prosecutor’s Bill, he was expected to be named the Special Prosecutor.
The deceased attorney led the group of attorneys that successfully defended President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo in the 2016 election petition.
He was a member of the legal team for the election petition in 2013.
Lawyer Akoto Ampaw was a partner in Akufo-Addo’s legal practise, Akufo-Addo, Prempeh & Co., until his untimely death.
