Soldier Punishes NSS Personal For Confronting Him After Breaking His Phone

A disturbing video has emerged on social media platform X, showing a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member being punished by a soldier at the NYSC camp in Adamawa.

According to @Nifemi_Bill, who shared the video and claimed to be a friend of the corper, the incident occurred after a soldier accidentally broke the corper’s phone.

When the corper confronted the soldier about the incident, he was given a punishment, which involved assuming a motorcycle riding stance.

The video, which has sparked outrage and concern among social media users, shows the corper in a humiliating position, with the soldier standing over him. @Nifemi_Bill’s caption accompanying the video reads: “One of our guys went to Adamawa for NYSC camp. We haven’t been able to contact him for days and we thought it was a network issue. You guys won’t believe what happened… A soldier broke his phone mistakenly and he stood up to them. Now, they’re punishing him.”

The incident has raised questions about the treatment of corps members at NYSC camps and the behavior of military personnel towards civilians. Many have expressed concern about the safety and well-being of corps members, particularly in camps located in remote or volatile areas.

The NYSC has yet to comment on the incident, but the video has sparked a heated debate about the need for greater accountability and transparency within the organization.
