Media report suggests that the Canadian Embassy is collaborating with the Ghanaian police to locate the victims.

It is however not clear whether the abductors have made contact with the family of the victims or the Canadian Embassy to demand for ransom.

The kidnap incidence has been confirmed by OccupyGh.com’s associate with the police.

Update: Police in the municipality has initiated a search for the Canadians kidnapped in Kumasi.

Indian man kidnapped in Kumasi

In April this year, a 30-year-old Indian man was kidnapped by some gun-wielding men who later demanded for a 500,000-dollar ransom after sending photos of the victim to his family with a gun pointed to his head.

He was later rescued at Parkoso in the Asokore-Mampong Municipality by a team of police officers with the help of Telcos.
