Two Remanded For Allegedly Stealing from Late John Kumah’s House

A court has remanded two individuals for allegedly breaking into the residence of the late former Finance Minister, John Kumah, and stealing various valuable items.

According to reports, the thieves made off with an iPhone 15, iPad, laptops, $50,000, and other items while the politician’s spouse, Apostle Mrs. Lilian Kumah, was away.

Upon her return, she discovered the ransacked house and reported the incident to the police, leading to an investigation.

The police arrested an SHS leaver in possession of the stolen iPhone 15, who claimed to have purchased it from someone at Kumasi PZ. The seller was also arrested and revealed that the phone was given to him by another individual to sell. The third suspect absconded but was later apprehended by the police.

In court, the lawyer for the two suspects attempted to secure bail, but the presiding judge ordered their remand to allow for further investigations. The case is ongoing.
