Bolt’s manager Nugent Walker confirmed to the Jamaica Gleaner that a probe has been launched, saying they became aware of the discrepancies with his accounts on Wednesday last week.

“All the relevant steps have been taken to come to the bottom of this.

“He’s been with this entity over 10 years… His entire portfolio is being reviewed,” he stated.

He added that the Financial Investigations Division and Financial Services Commission are among the entities to which reports have been made.

While Bolt has not directly addressed reports, he took to Twitter and Instagram to share a cryptic post on Wednesday 17 January.

The retired athlete posted a snippet of his song Cryptic World, with lyrics that read: “In a World of Lies… Where is the Truth? The History Evil… What is the Root?… MONEY #CrypticWorld.”
