Video Resurfaces Showing Okaikwei South Constituents Receiving Electronic Items From Dakoa Newman Yet Voted Against Her

In a shocking turn of events, the Okaikwei South Constituency has voted out its incumbent Member of Parliament, Dakoa Newman, despite her high-profile campaign efforts.

Dakoa Newman, who had been distributing electronic items to residents as part of her re-election bid, was unable to secure enough votes to retain her seat.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) had held a tight grip on the Okaikwei South Constituency for nearly three decades, but this year’s election results marked a significant shift in the constituency’s political landscape.

Ernest Adomako, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, won decisively with 32,691 votes, leaving Newman trailing with 25,263 votes.

Dakoa Newman’s actions during the campaign period have been perceived by some as an attempt to sway undecided voters.

However, it appears that these efforts ultimately failed to yield the desired results. Videos of Newman handing out electronic appliances as part of her re-election efforts have resurfaced online, sparking debates about the effectiveness of such tactics in modern politics.

The Okaikwei South Constituency has historically been a stronghold for the NPP, with the party dominating the constituency in all elections since 1996. However, Adomako’s victory marks a significant breakthrough for the NDC in the constituency.

As the dust settles on the election results, it remains to be seen how the NPP will respond to this unexpected loss. One thing is certain, however: the people of Okaikwei South have spoken, and they have chosen a new direction for their constituency.
