Voters in parts of Dome Kwabenya in the Greater Accra Region have been left frustrated and disappointed as voting has been delayed due to the non-arrival of electoral materials at polling centers.
The affected polling centers include Musuku Presby Church 1E and other adjoining centers.
According to a report by TV3’s Godwin Asidigba, the polling centers are yet to receive essential materials such as ballot papers, boxes, and indelible inks.
As a result, voting has not commenced, leaving voters who have been waiting in queues since dawn increasingly agitated.
Despite the delays, voters have expressed their determination to wait for the electoral materials to arrive.
Managing Editor for the Insight Newspaper, Kwasi Pratt, who votes in the constituency, was visibly angered by the development, highlighting the need for a more efficient electoral process.
As of the time of filing this report, voters had been waiting in queues for over two hours, underscoring the importance of ensuring that electoral materials are delivered promptly to prevent such delays.
The Electoral Commission of Ghana has emphasized the importance of transparency, fairness, and integrity in the electoral process.
